It’s time for another journey to South America
When we first began planning our travels to South America we decided to split the journey and last year we explored Brazil, Argentina and Chile and now in 2026 we will head back to explore the western countries. The two trips were actually planned and booked at the same time, so this trip has been organised for a long time. I recently spent a few hours putting together the photo itinerary we create for Ian’s mum and my aunt so that they can see some of the places we are going to be visiting. It was exciting to revisit the itinerary and to be reminded of what we will be experiencing in the three weeks we are away. We begin with the long journey … three plane trips … to just get to Lima! Then another plane trip to take us to Quito which is the capital of Ecuador. Once we have explored Quito we journey on to the Galápagos Islands where we will join a cruise that will take us to three of the islands to view birds, animals, the geography and flora of this “living museum” of unique biodivers...
